Helping a Dog Cope with Strangers

Helping a Dog Cope Better with Strangers

Why We Were Contacted?

Joanne contacted us to see whether we could help Luna, her miniature one-year-old Labradoodle to cope better with strangers in and outside the home. Luna started taking a dislike to strangers for no apparent reason, and this is sometimes the case. Luna sometimes barks at people and in the home would run away from them. It was Joanne’s priority to make Luna happier with strangers. Apart form that, she is a wonderful little girl.

Training to Become a PAT Dog

Training to Become a PAT Dog

Why We Were Contacted?

Ken contacted us for a one 2 one with 18 months old Golden Retriever Daisy, in order to work through the requirements of becoming a PAT (Pet As Therapy), so she would be able to pass her assessment and become a lovely working dog. I had worked with Daisy when she was a puppy also on a one 2 one basis at Ken & Tina’s home where we taught her all the basics, using clicker training, so this visit was more of a refresher and making sure that she was capable of doing what was required

Puppy Springer Spaniel Training

Why We Were Contacted?

Katrina and Tom contacted us, as they wanted to work on a couple of behaviours with their eight months old Springer Spaniel Sky, before they joined our Junior/Adult Beginners classes. They wanted a head start to give Sky the best possible chance to be a well mannered girl before a new puppy join their family in a couple of months. An important point for Katrina and Tom was also for Sky not to jump up at people when out and about due to her friendliness and excitement.

Building the Confidence of Your Rescue Dog

How to Build Up Confidence of a Rescue Dog

Why We Were Contacted?

Maria contacted us for a one 2 one session in order to help her with her two year old rescue Yorkshire Terrier, Esme. This poor little girl had not had the best of starts in life, as she was used for breeding on a puppy farm. Luckily for her, Maria rescued her and she is now a very happy little girl, with just a few issues to work on due to her past life.

Why We Were Contacted?

Hayley contacted is us originally to enrol her 5 months old Cockapoo Amber into our Junior/Adult Beginners course, but due to work commitment, it would have been quite difficult for her to attend all the sessions, so we decided to go down the route of a one 2 one session. All Hayley wanted was for her dog to have manners and be a well behaved, happy dog.

Cavapoo Basic Dog Training

Cavapoo Basic Dog Training

Why We Were Contacted?

I was contacted by Hayley for a one 2 one session with Sweetie. Sweetie is a lovely five month old Cavapoo with an amazing temperament. All Hayley needed was a little guidance on how to train Sweetie to do some of the basics, mainly 'recall' as she is keen on letting her pooch off the lead, so she can have some fun. Another slight concern was the fact that Sweetie likes to steal Hayley's young daughter's comfort blanket.
