These sessions are also advisable for nervous dogs that couldn't cope with the stress of being in a class. With this type of training you get the advantage of having a personalised training session and can therefore focus on what you would like to achieve. You may want to discuss issues such as jumping up, toilet training, chewing, crate training, food guarding prevention or simply learning the basics (e.g. sit, down, recall, etc...)

Pre-vaccination One to Ones:

If your puppy is still too young to attend classes and you want to give him/her a good start, one to ones are perfect. Not only for learning the basics but also to discuss and most importantly prevent potential issues that may happen during puppyhood and the terrible teens.

Helping a Dog Cope with Strangers

Helping a Dog Cope Better with Strangers

Why We Were Contacted?

Joanne contacted us to see whether we could help Luna, her miniature one-year-old Labradoodle to cope better with strangers in and outside the home. Luna started taking a dislike to strangers for no apparent reason, and this is sometimes the case. Luna sometimes barks at people and in the home would run away from them. It was Joanne’s priority to make Luna happier with strangers. Apart form that, she is a wonderful little girl.

Why We Were Contacted?

Katrina and Tom contacted us, as they wanted to work on a couple of behaviours with their eight months old Springer Spaniel Sky, before they joined our Junior/Adult Beginners classes. They wanted a head start to give Sky the best possible chance to be a well mannered girl before a new puppy join their family in a couple of months. An important point for Katrina and Tom was also for Sky not to jump up at people when out and about due to her friendliness and excitement.

Why We Were Contacted?

Stephanie contacted us for a one 2 one session, after she recently adopted Benji, a three year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Benji’s previous owners had spoilt him a little bit too much and he never learnt to work to earn a reinforcer (reward). He is a very laid back little guy with a fantastic temperament. Stephanie just wanted him to be a happy chap but with a couple of basics, especially a solid recall, so she could let him off the lead in the future.

Why We Were Contacted?

We were contacted by Charlotte to give some advice on a couple of puppy issues and putting some basic training into place for very cute 14 week old Staffie, Nico. Charlotte’s main concern was the biting and nipping, and how to deal with it in an appropriate and efficient manner. She also wanted Nico to listen to her more when doing basic training, and work on his recall to make sure that she could trust him when out and about.

Why We Were Contacted?

Hayley contacted is us originally to enrol her 5 months old Cockapoo Amber into our Junior/Adult Beginners course, but due to work commitment, it would have been quite difficult for her to attend all the sessions, so we decided to go down the route of a one 2 one session. All Hayley wanted was for her dog to have manners and be a well behaved, happy dog.

Why We Were Contacted?

We were contacted by Marco soon after the arrival of Cookie, a 10 week old Pomeranian. As first time owners, Marco & Magda were struggling mainly with toilet training, but wanted to do things right by Cookie and how to deal with issues such as nipping, biting and socialisation the little fellow appropriately. They also decided after my first visit, that they would like to start clicker training as soon as possible, teaching him a few basics, such as sit, recall and bed.

Why We Were Contacted?

We were contacted by Marianne soon after the arrival of her gorgeous English Cocker Spaniel, named Buttons, in order to have a series one 2 one sessions at their home. Marianne hadn’t had a dog for a long time and being very committed and dedicated she wanted to make sure that Buttons had the best possible start in terms of training, and for his mum to know how best to handle every day puppy issues, such as nipping, socialising in the right way, etc.
